Leigh Gibbs - Workshops

The End Game in Mind

Date:  9 August

Time: 2pm-3:30pm

Venue: Huanui College Gymnasium - 328 Ngunguru Road Glenbervie 

Join former Silver Ferns Head Coach and player Leigh Gibbs for an engaging on-court workshop focused on preparing teams for the critical moments of a game. Coaches will explore effective decision-making, game awareness, and practical strategies that help players perform under pressure and finish games strongly. This interactive session combines on-court demonstrations with real coaching scenarios to provide ideas you can take straight back to your own team.


Game Analysis Session

Date:  9 August

Time: 4:30pm-6pm

Venue: Upstairs, Whangārei Netball Centre - 44 Kensington Ave 

Take your coaching to the next level by learning how to analyse a game with purpose. Led by Leigh Gibbs, this workshop will explore how to identify key moments, recognise patterns of play, and use game footage to make informed coaching decisions. Coaches will gain practical tools to evaluate team and individual performances, helping them provide meaningful feedback and improve future performance.

Leigh is one of New Zealand's most experienced and respected netball coaches, bringing decades of knowledge from coaching at the highest level. Whether you're new to coaching or have years of experience, these workshops will provide practical ideas, fresh perspectives, and valuable insights you can take back to your own team.

​​​​​​​Team Culture and Building Effective Relationships Woorkshop

Take the next step in your coaching journey with our Team Culture & Building Effective Relationships Workshop at Whangārei Netball Centre.

Led by Coach Developer Madelaine Moulds, this interactive workshop is designed to support coaches in creating positive team environments and building strong, effective relationships with players, fellow coaches, and whānau. Through practical activities and discussion, coaches will gain strategies to strengthen team culture, improve communication, and foster an environment where players can thrive both on and off the court.

Whether you're new to coaching or have years of experience, this workshop is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills, connect with other coaches, and leave with practical ideas you can implement straight away.
