UMPIRE WORKSHOPS ARE BACK AT WNC!!!!


Whether you want to become an umpire, have confidence when umpiring for your club/team or just learn the rules to be a better player/coach/manager/spectator then check out these workshops.

 

Introductory Netball Rule Sessions

  • Short evening class to go over basic netball rules

 

Available Dates (just need to attend one):

  • Wednesday 24 June, 6.30 – 8.30pm
  • Wednesday 1 July, 6.30 – 8.30pm

The following sessions are targeted at umpires however we encourage coaches and players wanting to know more about game management and new 2020 rules to come along.

Game Management Workshop

  • Learn, refresh, update your knowledge on the use of game management in netball
  • Caution, warning, suspension, ordering off

  • How, when and why do we use them?
  • Using updated 2020 IFNA rule changes.

Netball NZ will be closing the current Centre Theory Exam process on 15 June and replacing with a module which will help new and player Umpires understand some of the rules of netball, as well as some practical techniques to enhance their umpiring.  This will be available from Monday 15 June on Netball NZ’s website - https://www.netballnz.co.nz/get-involved/umpiring
