Whangārei Netball Centre Welcomes Keri Clendon as New Kaihautū/General Manager
Whangārei, July 29, 2024 – The Whangārei Netball Centre (WNC) is excited to announce the appointment of Keri Clendon as the new Kaihautū/General Manager. Keri brings a diverse background in both corporate and government sectors, coupled with a passion for netball and community engagement.
Having recently moved to Whangārei, Keri is eager to become an integral part of the local community, which aligns perfectly with her new role at WNC.
"We are excited to welcome Keri to the Whangārei Netball Centre whānau," said Kathryn Candy, Chairperson of WNC. "Her extensive experience in marketing, event management, strategic planning, and community engagement makes her an excellent fit for this role. We are confident she will lead our organisation to new heights."
Keri’s professional career includes roles at Deloitte, Auckland Tourism Events and Economic Development, and various contract positions in events and project management overseas. Her experience managing large-scale events, coupled with her strategic thinking and communication skills, will be invaluable in this role.
Keri expressed her enthusiasm about joining WNC: "I am excited to take on the role of Kaihautū/General Manager at WNC. It is an honour to have the opportunity to work with our netball community and the broader Northland sporting community. Through connecting with the community, I look forward to building a strong culture and better outcomes for everyone involved in our Netball centre”.
Keri officially began her role in early July, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the Whangārei netball community.
